Scientists of Sound’s signature anthemic rocktronica sound unites raging guitar hooks with hard hitting beats and epic gang vocal melodies. Combining elements of electronica with the energy of a rock band who leave it all on the stage at every show, an SOS set leaves the audience feeling like they just climbed a mountain.
Formed from the ashes of East Coast powerhouse bands The Jimmy Swift Band and Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees—Scientists of Sound are producers Craig Mercer (guitar, keys, drums, bass, vocals), Colin Crowell (keyboards, bass, trumpet), and Sean Parsons on drums.
Scientists of Sound were named Electronic Artist of the Year at the 2021 Nova Scotia Music Awards for their album The Beginning (of the beginning of the end). Their new EP, Swimming in the Marmalade, is available everywhere on Nov 22nd, 2023.
